Material of sewing tube anchor 

The material of sewing tube anchor directly affects its bearing capacity, durability and applicable environment. Common materials include: 

(1) High-strength alloy steel 

High-quality carbon steel (Q235, Q345) or alloy steel (42CrMo) with high tensile strength (≥500MPa) and good toughness.

The surface can be hot dip galvanized (HDG) or epoxy coated to improve anti-corrosion performance, suitable for wet or corrosive environments.

(2)Stainless steel material (optional) 

Suitable for highly corrosive environments (e.g. coal mines, saline and alkaline strata), with 304 or 316 stainless steel to extend service life.

(3)Special treatment process 

Cold roll forming:Ensure uniform wall thickness of the steel pipe and improve the effect of rubbing anchoring, 

Heat treatment and tempering:Enhance the hardness and fatigue resistance of the steel.

Production process of sewing tube anchor 

The manufacturing process of sewing tube anchor directly affects its quality and performance, and the key steps include:

(1) Steel pipe cutting and seam opening 

Laser cutting or precision sawing is used to ensure a flat cut and reduce stress concentration.

Single or double slits (width 1-2mm) are opened along the axial direction to provide elastic expansion capacity.

(2) Cold Roll Forming 

Adjust the outer diameter of the tube by cold rolling process to improve surface smoothness and enhance friction contact area.

(3) Heat treatment (optional) 

Tempering (quenching+tempering) of high-strength steel to enhance comprehensive mechanical properties.

(4) Anti-corrosion treatment 

Hot dip galvanized (zinc layer ≥80μm) or sprayed with epoxy resin, suitable for acidic and humid environment.

 Installation and use of Slit Pipe Anchor 

The installation of Slit Pipe Anchor (Self-Drilling Friction Bolt) is convenient and suitable for quick support, the main steps are as follows:

(1) Drilling 

Drill the holes with rock drill or drill truck, the hole diameter is 2-4mm larger than the anchor diameter (e.g. Φ33 anchor with Φ35-37 drill hole).

Make sure the hole wall is clean and no residual slag.

(2) Anchor installation 

Insert the sewing tube anchor into the hole, and strike the end of the anchor with an impact hammer or installation machine to make it fully expanded and closely fit with the hole wall.

Provide support force instantly after installation without waiting for curing (e.g. resin anchors need to wait for solidification).
